Pola 4.0 is a French artist whose pseudonym is a nod to the famous Polaroid format featured in the majority of her works. Originally from the world of fashion, whose undeniable influence is evident in her work, Pola 4.0 has gradually transitioned into the world of art. Her artistic approach is like visualizing what she calls her "emotional labyrinth," and her eclectic subjects, sometimes seemingly contradictory, actually reflect her insatiable questions about existence. She is a committed artist who advocates for the emancipation of women from the sometimes oppressive "norms" imposed by socio-cultural dictates and years of patriarchy. Through her art, she celebrates femininity, highlighting the strength, resilience, and beauty of women worldwide. Far from the "woman as object on glossy paper," her female "icons" are true modern-day Amazons. She strives to engage the viewer, seeks their gaze, and provokes their own questions, but always subtly, never seeking to lecture. Eager to understand the world around her, as well as the individual human being, she relentlessly pursues her quest, using only her own emotions as a filter.

ARTIST'S WORDS

“In this series on Icons, I chose to pay tribute to Frida Kahlo for her art but also for her personality; she is an example of strength and femininity.” “Frida” is not just a work of art; it is a call to resilience and self-affirmation. By paying tribute to Frida Kahlo, I invite you to embrace your own stories, to recognize your inner strength, and to celebrate the beauty of your journey. For, as Frida so aptly demonstrated, every scar tells a story, and every story deserves to be heard. In a world where art is intertwined with the strength of the soul, the work “Frida” stands as a vibrant tribute to this icon of resilience. The work also invites us to celebrate womanhood in all its splendor. It evokes the strength of women who, like Frida, transform their struggles into art, love, and life. The vibrant colors and floral motifs, emblematic of Kahlo's world, intertwine to create a vibrant work that celebrates femininity in all its diversity.
