A MESSAGE FOR YOU
If this poster has come to you, it's to remind you of the power of your presence and your being. Every trial has strengthened you, transformed you, revealed you. You no longer wear your scars as flaws, but as proof of your courage. You embody the strength of life. Your presence is a gift, and the world knows it. Keep moving forward: it is your light that changes everything around you. You are a fighter. Living proof that nothing dies, everything is reborn. I wish you to celebrate life in every moment. I wish you to always see the strong person you are and to become your own source of inspiration, every day of your life.
BEFORE / AFTER
BY JUSTINE COQUIDÉ
DESCRIPTION
Inspired by Frida Kahlo's Self-Portrait with Thorn Necklace and Hummingbird (1940), this work revisits the symbol of resilience. In Frida's painting, the thorns represent pain, and the hummingbird hanging from her neck evokes hardship and loss. The monkey, a gift from Diego Rivera, represents both the attachment and the suffering of their relationship. The cat symbolizes the shadow side, while the hummingbird represents lost love and interrupted life force. In Justine Coquidé's reinterpretation, these presences are transformed into serene forces: the hummingbird is reborn, the animals become benevolent guardians. The thorns fade, the flowers bloom again, and suffering is transformed into vitality. Frida no longer suffers; she radiates. Drawing on the symbolism of the Strength card in the Tarot, this version celebrates courage, resilience, and the light rediscovered after adversity. An ode to life, to the beauty of getting back up again and again.
