Created by Justine Coquidé, this poster blends drawing and collage to reinterpret the Tomb of Antonio Canova, highlighting the winged lion of Saint Mark and the angel in a contemporary aesthetic. Through the sign of Leo, these figures embody majesty, protection, and nobility. The winged lion of Saint Mark, symbol of Venice and representing the evangelist Saint Mark, embodies strength and wisdom. On Canova's tomb, it watches over the heart of the deceased with authority and serenity. This symbolism echoes the sign of Leo, which is also associated with power, nobility, and a natural sense of leadership. The angel, for its part, embodies light and benevolence, bringing balance to the imposing strength of the lion. Justine Coquidé reinterprets this classic iconography by combining the historical heritage of the winged lion of Saint Mark with a contemporary vision, where the majesty and protection characteristic of the sign of Leo are reflected in a modern aesthetic.
The lion is associated with the myth of the Nemean Lion , an invincible creature with sharp claws and impenetrable hide, which terrorized the region. Heracles, in one of his Twelve Labors, managed to strangle it with his bare hands. In homage to his courage, Zeus placed the lion among the stars, where it became the constellation Leo.
A symbol of strength, radiance and sovereignty, the Lion embodies in astrology self-confidence and the desire to shine, magnificently celebrated in this unique art card.

RETURNS
We guarantee a 15-day return policy. If you are not satisfied, you have 15 days to return your product, provided the poster or frame is in its original packaging. If a poster or frame is damaged upon arrival, a claim must be made (if possible) within 7 days of receipt.
