Lille Belfry
What a story! 🎨




 The Belfry of the Lille Chamber of Commerce, built between 1910 and 1921 by Louis-Marie Cordonnier, stands proudly opposite the Opera House on the Place du Théâtre. This masterpiece of the Neo-Flemish style, constructed of brick and stone, was designed to replace the Old Stock Exchange and assert the city's economic power. Dominating the Lille skyline at 76 meters, its elegant silhouette sets the rhythm of urban life thanks to
 to its carillon installed in 1984, which resonates every noon with the song of P'tit Quinquin, this lullaby which has become a popular anthem. Through her collage, Justine Coquidé revisits the belfry by surrounding it with striking symbols of Lille's history and identity: Charles de Gaulle, a national figure born in Lille in 1890, fries, which have become a popular and festive emblem of regional culture, the poppy; flower of memory and resistance linked to the conflicts that have marked the North, and finally the melody of P'tit Quinquin, intoned by the carillon, a true emotional anthem of the city.

    We guarantee a 15-day return policy. If you are not satisfied, you have 15 days to return your product, provided the poster or frame is in its original packaging. If a poster or frame is damaged upon arrival, a claim must be made (if possible) within 7 days of receipt.
