 Aphrodite
 In ancient Greek religion, Aphrodite is the goddess of Love.
 Legends also recount her adventures with numerous lovers, including Ares, Dionysus, and Hermes. Along with Athena and Hera, Aphrodite is one of the three goddesses whose quarrel sparked the Trojan War, in which she played a major role.
 Later, the Romans assimilated Aphrodite to the Venus of Roman mythology.
 Aphrodite has been represented in Western art as the symbol of feminine beauty and appears in numerous artistic works from the Renaissance to the present day.
