What a story! 🎨




 Created by Justine Coquidé, this poster reinterprets Ingres's portrait of the Grande Odalisque by blending drawing and collage. The Taurus tattoo, designed by the artist, embodies stability, sensuality, and harmony—qualities inherent to this earth sign. The Odalisque's assertive and sensual gaze reflects these characteristics, symbolizing the pursuit of comfort and the appreciation of sensory pleasures. Through her fashion collage, Justine Coquidé transforms the Odalisque's face into a true icon. The Grande Odalisque, painted by Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, is one of his most famous works. The painting shocked at the time with its sensual and audacious depiction, a subject typical of Orientalism. Ingres broke with classical rigor by exaggerating the proportions of the Odalisque's body, thus accentuating her mysterious and hypnotic nature. In this contemporary reinterpretation, Justine Coquidé echoes this artistic audacity while anchoring it in a modern vision, thus merging Ingres's legacy with today's visual codes.




 The bull is associated with the myth of Zeus and Europa . According to legend, Zeus, captivated by the beauty of the Phoenician princess Europa, transformed himself into a majestic white bull. Fascinated by his grace and gentleness, Europa climbed onto his back, and Zeus carried her across the sea to the island of Crete. There, he revealed his true identity, and their union gave birth to Minos, the future legendary king.
