 Created by Justine Coquidé, this poster blends drawing and collage to reinterpret Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres's painting "Oedipus Explaining the Riddle of the Sphinx" with a contemporary aesthetic. Through the sign of Capricorn, the figure embodies perseverance, reflection, and the mastery of challenges. Capricorn, an earth sign, is distinguished by its ability to face obstacles with patience and determination. In Ingres's painting, Oedipus, calm and focused, challenges the Sphinx by solving its riddle. This scene illustrates the qualities of Capricorn: a methodical approach, pragmatic intelligence, and an inner strength that triumphs over adversity. Justine Coquidé modernizes this scene, imbuing it with a contemporary sensibility, where Oedipus becomes a universal figure of resilience and ambition. The poster captures the energy of Capricorn: a quest for elevation and success, combining reflection and discipline, while connecting classical heritage to a current and assertive vision.




 Capricorn is linked to Pan , the goat-bodied god, who plunged into a river to escape Typhon. His body was partially transformed into a fish, symbolizing the duality between land and water. Zeus honored Pan by creating the constellation of Capricorn.
