La sculpture Vénus et Adonis a été créée par Antonio Canova entre 1789 et 1794.
Il esquisse un demi sourire mais elle, n’a-t-elle pas l’air inquiète ? C’est la déesse de l’amour Vénus, retenant son amant Adonis, prêt à partir à la chasse. Venus essaye par tous les moyens de le dissuader, de le sauver du danger. Mais, comme prophétisé, un sanglier le mordit et le tua. Le moment choisi par l'artiste est celui du dernier adieu, , l'instant avant que ne s'accomplisse l'atroce destin. Aujourd’hui les deux amants revivent une idylle contemporaine, sous le regard du colibri, symbole de chance d’amour et de gaieté.

RETURNS
We guarantee a 15-day return policy. If you are not satisfied, you have 15 days to return your product, provided the poster or frame is in its original packaging. If a poster or frame is damaged upon arrival, a claim must be made (if possible) within 7 days of receipt.
