Vanitas is an artistic theme that, since the Renaissance, has reminded us of the ephemeral nature of life and beauty. Symbols such as the skull, the rose, or butterfly wings are often used to evoke the fragility of existence. Justine Coquidé reinterprets this classic genre through collage and drawing. In this work, the skull pierced by a rose symbolizes fleeting beauty, despite the glorification of appearance in our society. The butterfly wings evoke the lightness and brevity of life. The artist adds modern elements, such as a hand adorned with lipstick held like a cigarette, echoing 21st-century aesthetic standards and thus highlighting the superficiality and fragility of this quest for perfection. Justine Coquidé shows that, despite the central place of beauty in our world, it remains a passing illusion, destined to disappear.

RETURNS
We guarantee a 15-day return policy. If you are not satisfied, you have 15 days to return your product, provided the poster or frame is in its original packaging. If a poster or frame is damaged upon arrival, a claim must be made (if possible) within 7 days of receipt.
