STÉPHANE VAN DORPE

Born in Lille, Stéphane Van Dorpe trained at the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne, graduating in 1993. He began his career as a stylist and studio coordinator under Dominique Morlotti, then artistic director of Christian Dior and later Lanvin. He honed his skills at Emanuel Ungaro and worked with Edith Vesperini, the renowned film and television costume designer. Drawing on his years of experience and deeply connected to nature, he decided to redirect his career. In 2018, he founded POESIEANDSONG, an initiative that transcends traditional fashion norms. More than just a French brand of premium vintage and upcycled clothing and accessories, POESIEANDSONG embodies an idea, a movement, and a growing awareness. Today, Stéphane Van Dorpe gives value to existing materials by creating unique pieces that combine artistry and sustainability. Through poem-paintings, illustrations, and fragments of his memories and emotions, he offers a vision where each creation carries meaning, beauty, and respect for our world. An artistic and committed journey to follow…
