Dating back to 120 BC, the Venus de Milo was discovered in the spring of 1820 in the Cyclades archipelago in Greece, on the island of Milos. A true symbol of femininity, the marble statue represents the goddess of love and beauty, Aphrodite. It was through multiple fragmented faces, created using a collage technique, that it was reconstructed and rediscovered. The holes in the statue's arms prove that it was once adorned with jewels—bracelets, earrings, and even headbands. Today, it is once again adorned with its former jewels with unwavering confidence.
The famous Venus de Milo has transcended generations, more powerful and robust than ever. Now on display at the Louvre in Paris, the statue continues to be a subject of discussion. Nine years ago, the feminist group Femen protested against violence against women at the foot of the Venus. As a tribute to the movement and this courageous action, I also wanted to represent, through my collage, the multitude of women victims who rise up and fight their oppressors with strength and honor.

Discover the powerful symbols of the goddess of love and beauty in a cushion entirely dedicated to her. The cushion's softness and pearly color echo her birth. Venus was born from the sea foam under a shower of droplets that crystallized into pearls. The presence of the dove, another attribute of the goddess, embodies peace, love, and fidelity. Today, the goddess of beauty expresses her moral demands through her body.
DAVID
This monumental 5-meter-high sculpture by Michelangelo depicts David just before his battle against the giant Goliath. A colossal sculpture that could never have seen the light of day without Michelangelo's genius. Duccio, the great Italian painter, extracted and roughly hewn a block of marble from the Carrara quarries, but he abandoned the project after three years, overwhelmed by the scale of the undertaking. Ten years later, Antonio Rossellino attempted to complete the work, but also gave up. Only Michelangelo was able to take advantage of the narrowness of the marble block and work around one of its flaws (a gap through which he carved the space between the right arm and the torso).

David was a young shepherd. One day, his country was invaded by the Philistines, a people of giants who were about 10 feet tall. David enlisted in the army, but the Philistines challenged him to single combat. David faced Goliath, the best warrior in the opposing camp. David carried a bag of six stones, and his opponent was heavily armed. The fight began, and David threw three stones at Goliath's head and one at his stomach. Goliath collapsed and died forever. The Philistines left, and David became king. A fitting destiny for his courage.
THE VICTORY OF SAMOTHRACE
An undisputed masterpiece of Antiquity, it reigns supreme today Proudly displayed at the entrance to the first staircase of the Louvre Museum, the statue's artist and the circumstances of its creation remain unknown. It represents the winged goddess of Victory (Nike in Greek), who inspired the name of the famous sportswear brand Nike. The Winged Victory of Samothrace was discovered in 1863 by Charles Champoiseau, a French diplomat and archaeologist, during archaeological excavations he conducted on the island of Samothrace. The drapery and sculpting technique give the impression of a veritable marble muslin, seemingly glued by the wind to the flesh of a woman.
Fascinated by the sculpted drapery, artist Justine Coquidé decided to approach it using a technique other than collage: drawing. The statue was found headless, so she imagined a delicate, unidentified face that perpetuates the statue's mystery.
ATHENA
Athena, goddess of wisdom, military strategy, crafts, artists, and teachers, was considered the patroness and protector of several Greek cities, most notably Athens. She is generally depicted in art wearing a helmet and holding a spear. Her principal symbols include the owl, the olive tree, and the serpent.
In the 21st century, Athena wages war against herself. A struggle against the beauty archetypes that women face daily, and which gradually destroy their self-perception.

Apollo is a major figure in Greek mythology. He is the Greek god of the arts, music, masculine beauty, poetry, and light.
The god Apollo is also venerated as the patron of the visual arts. He is often associated with painting, sculpture, and architecture. His most famous temple, the Temple of Apollo at Delphi, was renowned for its architectural splendor and housed precious works of art. Artists of the time drew inspiration from the beauty and harmony that Apollo symbolized in their creations.
Apollo is also associated with the quest for truth and harmony in society. He was considered a divine oracle, capable of delivering prophecies and revealing hidden truths.

APOLLO
ZODIAC
The name "zodiac" comes from the Greek word zodiakos, meaning "circle of small animals." All the constellations of the Zodiac represent living creatures, except for Libra, which was once part of Scorpio. That is why this name is used.
The zodiac is a 360° circular band of sky surrounding the Earth, divided into twelve traditional signs of 30° each. The twelve signs are, in order: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces . Each sign is associated with an element: fire, earth, air, or water. The signs are believed to correspond to characteristic personality types according to astrological superstitions. The start and end dates of the signs can vary depending on the year, place, and time of birth.
